The Member of Parliament (MP) for Damongo Constituency Hon Samuel Abu Jinapor has on Saturday 13th February, 2022, donated two standard football posts and nets, five footballs, two set of jerseys, nine official whistles, four corner poles and flags, twenty training cones and beams to Busunu Football Club to promote sports in the Community.
The Assemblyman for the Busunu electoral area Hon Dari Osman Thomas, who presented the items on behalf of the MP said, the gesture is to encourage the youth of Busunu to develop and harness their interest for sports and as well utilise their sporting potentials.
“Sports promotes unity. The MP who is always glad to see a unified front is donating these in fulfilment of one of his campaign promises in 2020. He is therefore gifting you these to creat avenue in your quests to becoming stars. You shall get there”; he said.
Mr Gbapo Kwaku Damian, one of the leaders of Busunu Football Club commended the MP for his foresight in helping the youth achieve their dreams.
Leaders and players of the Club who could not hide their joy, dedicated the evening’s program to the MP.
