The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Damongo Constituency and Minister for Lands and Natural Resources Hon Samuel Abu Jinapor has on Sunday 13th February 2022 donated a brand new Nissan hardbody pickup with registration number GS-318-19 to the Damongo branch of the Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU) .

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for West Gonja Mr Musah Karim Kusbari who handed over the vehicle to the Damongo branch GPRTU on behalf of the Damongo MP in a brief remark said the MP is donating the vehicle to the GPRTU to facilitate their movement in the region adding that the donation underpins the MP’s commitment to contributing his quota to the development of the region.

Mr Karim Kusbari further acknowledged the efforts of the GPRTU in development of the transport sector in the region and in the country and was hopeful that the vehicle would go a long way to aid them in their work.

He said that it is the vision of the MP to support the GPRTU to equip them to be able to serve the citizenry well.

Receiving the vehicle on behalf of GPRTU, the Savannah Regional Chairman of the union
Chief Daniel Yakubu Siibu Mpotosowura commended the MP for supportimg the GPRTU.

He said that the MP’s continuous support to the GPRTU demonstrates his interest in the development of the region and not just people of the damongo, since the vehicle would not only serve people of damongo constituency but the region as a whole.

The MP has, in the past, supported the GPRTU with 100 plastic chairs, mats for prayers, bags of rice and an amount of money.

Present at the ceremony was the Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the Damongo Constituency Alhaj Adam Braimah, the Coordinator for the office of the Damongo MP amd also the Damongo Constituency election research officer, Mr. Bawa Fusheini Capacity as well as some party executives and other executives of the GPRTU across the Savannah region.
