The Vagla Youth Association (VAYA) on behalf of its members, chiefs and elders of all members communities have congratulates Mr Benard Gbolo from Soma on the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba District for winning the Best National Agroforestry Farmer at the 2021 national best farmers awards at a colourful ceremony in Cape Coast.

A statement signed the President of the Youth group Mr Emmanuel Kungi on 8th December, 2021 and copied to Bole based Nkilgi FM said the Association views the recognition of Mr Gbolo who is the assembly member for the Soma electoral area as an honour to communities, in the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba District in particular and indeed the entire Savannah region at large.

The Vagla Youth Association has encouraged all farmers in Vagla communities especially the youth to keep up the good works and intensify same to bring more of such awads to our area.

They called on the government continue to institute measures to make farming more attractive business venture so as to attract more Ghanaian youth into it as a means to addressing the menace of youth unemployment challenges faced by the country.

“It is our hope Mr. Gbolo will see this award as an opportunity to leapfrog many farmers across the country and become an overall national best farmer within the next few years”: the group said.
