The Daboya-Mankarigu Communication Bureau of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has congratulated the MP Hon. Alhaji Mahama Asei Seini for his nomination as the deputy minister for Health.

Daboya-Mankarigu Constituency Mr Abdulai Sulemana reminded the MP to remember the Construction of the ultra modern District Hospital for North Gonja District as part of the 88 District hospitals promised by President Akufo Addo in the lead up to the 2020 presidential and parliamentary elections as well as at the peak of the COVID-19 Pandemic.

The Daboya-Mankarigu Communication Bureau of the NDC congratulates the MP, Hon. Alhaji Mahama Asei Seini on his nomination as the deputy minister for Health. This appointment couldn’t have come at a better time and we therefore wish to use this medium to appeal to the ministerial Vetting Committee of Parliament to handle the nominee, Hon. Alhaji Mahama Asei Seini in a lovely manner during his vetting and subsequently approval him. We also wish to thank the President, H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo for giving us this great opportunity.
However, in as much as we celebrate with you in your joyful appointment, we would also wish to, as a matter of urgency, remind you that the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo on numerous occasions bemoaned the poor state of health infrastructure in our dear constituency, Daboya-Mankarigu. It is in the spirit of this and many more that the President appointed you as the deputy minister of Health.
We would also like to use this opportunity to refresh your memory about a question put to the former President, John Agyekum kuffour during the “The Peoples Assembly” encounter by the late Hon. Akwesi Frimpong, the then Assemblyman for the Daboya electoral area. Hon Frimpong asked President Kuffour about his failure to construct the Daboya bridge which he promised and the President answer was that we should hold Hon. Alex Seidu Sofo, the then MP for Damongo/Daboya constituency and deputy minister for roads and highways responsible, because he appointed him as the sector deputy minister to solve the infrastructural needs of the area, including the famous White Volta bridge, Daboya.
Today, it is your turn, Hon. Alhaji Mahama Asei Seini, a citizen of the land, our uncle, brother, father, MP as well as a deputy minister for Health, you must take a cue from the past. On that note, we expect you to deliver on the following:
The Construction of the ultra modern District Hospital for North Gonja District. Remember, this is part of the 88 District hospitals promised by President Akufo Addo in the lead up to the 2020 presidential and parliamentary elections as well as at the peak of the COVID-19 Pandemic.
The North Gonja District is part of that list.This is not a big deal, all that you need to do is to push and get it done.
A serious fight against hepatitis B and C menace which is killing our people on regular basis. Please, this is a very important issue to deal with.
Well equipped zonal Health Facilities with Ambulances in Mankarigu, Lingbingsi, Bawena, kuporto and Kagbal.
We would also like to used this medium to appeal to our MP/minister nominee to use his new office to help push for the establishment of a Nursing Training College for the North Gonja District, which is hosting the Regional Health Directorate.
Good road network is essential in the delivery of quality health care and business activities. We expect to see the construction and completion of the following roads, which were started by President John Dramani Mahama and abandoned by your government.
(a) Daboya- Mankarigu road
(b) Daboya- Busunu road
(c) Mankarigu, Zeipe to Sag’ya road
(d) Kuporto- Yazori road
(e) Mempeasem- Bombom road
(f) Lingbingsi- Gurubagu road
(g) Daboya- Bawena road and many others.
May we remind you that the vice President H.E. Dr. Muhammadu Bawumia, also promisesd the good people of Daboya that work on the Daboya Bridge will soon commence in June this year. He made this promise during the just ended Gonjaland Youth Association annual Congress in Bole. He said to the whole world that the contract has been signed and sealed. This continuous empty promises to the good people of the Daboya- Mankarigu constituency is making the people lose trust in Nana Addo NPP led administration.This time around we have you, Hon. Alhaji Mahama Asei Seini as our MP and a minister who is close to powers. We trust that you will push for the commencement of the constructed of the bridge.
Last but not the least is the issue of Water supply to the six zones of our constituency. The people of Tidrope, Sinsina, Kagbal, Guo and Kito are still waiting on you to deliver the pipe borne water for them as you were awarded the contract by the ministry of Special Development Initiative.
You started work on that project briefly and later abandoned the work.The good people of the river bank communities are demanding the following answers from you:
a). What is the status of the River Bank communities water situation, now that you have become our MP?
b).You and the DCE directed your Tags and hoodlums in Yagbon to drive away the former MP’s water engineer from mechanizing an existing borehole for that community as part of his plans in making portable drinking water available for all.
What is the state of the Yagbon water system?
NDC is a development oriented party, and so we pledged to give you our utmost support in your quest to bringing development to our area. You do not have any reason to fail in the delivery of the above expectations and many others. Should you choose the path of failure by actions and words, we shall facilitate it for you.
