A former staunch member of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and for many years a Serial Caller of the party from the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba Constituency Mr Tomah Thinnatun has surprisingly defected to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) mentioning “disrespect and arrogance” from the leadership of the NPP as one his reasons.

Mr Tomah giving further reasons for his defection from NPP to NDC on Bole based Nkilgi FM said the NPP on the Savannah Region now belongs to “small small boys” who are so “arrogant” and that the NPP of yesterday is not the NPP today and for that matter he has left the party and he is promising the NPP that they will regret losing him.

“Just imagine these small small arrogant boys who do not know how people suffered for this party and brought it to power, saying they don’t even know am a party member of NPP?”

Mr Tomah who was very furious, angrily said those boys who do not know how people sacrificed their lives for the party sit anywhere and give orders which has brought down the popularity of the party they have all fought for even before some of those boys joined the party.

According to the former popular NPP Serial Caller he was approached by the NPP Communication members in the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba Constituency to stop calling into Bole bases Nkilgi FM after the Savannah Region Communication Director of the party Issah Mohammed gave an order to that effect but he refused and continued to call because he felt as a member it was his duty to defend his party and will use any medium to do that.

Mr Tomah said the next moment he heard the NPP Communication team members in the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba Constituency say they do not know him as a party member. “I have not slept over the issue since I heard it”.

The former NPP Serial Caller also compared the NDC and NPP governments in the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba District and concluded that the NPP has not done anything for the area even though he was just struggling to make the NPP relevant to the electorates but today you see these “small small boys” speaking anyhow.

“I swear someone met me and asked whether the toilet the NDC has built for us is a bank? The toilet alone will never allow anybody from Sawla to vote for NPP”; he emphasised.

Mr Tomah also called on the people of the Savannah Region to rise up and support former President John Dramani Mahama to win and bring more development to the area.
